Rob and Tim with PRINZ Award 2010

PRINZ Sustained Public Relations Programme Award

From 2006 to 2010 commercial cleaning company Paramount Services transformed from a corporate-franchise hybrid to a franchise thoroughbred. It doubled its franchisee numbers to 100+ and its annual turnover from under $10 million. In 2008 Paramount was named New Zealand Supreme Franchise System and in 2010 it won its biggest contract ever, to clean 180+ ANZ-National Bank branches.

Communication by Design has been an integral part of that journey. Our marketing brochures, print and radio advertising, editorial, website search engine optimisation and scripting of successful awards entries have lifted a trickle of franchisee enquiries to a high quality stream and given Paramount unprecedented recognition.

PRINZ Life Membership for Tim Marshall

Communication by Design founder Tim Marshall was awarded life membership of the Public Relations Institute of New Zealand in 2009 for his exceptional contribution over 20 years. Tim was vice president of PRINZ from 1995-2001 and president from 2002-2005. He created the institute's web site in 1995 and was the chairman of judges for the 1997 and 1998 PRINZ Awards. From 1998-2004 he represented New Zealand on the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management, an umbrella body for the world's national and regional public relations societies.

New Zealand Marketing Consumer Durables Award

GlaxoSmithKline won the Consumer Durables Award in the 2003 Marketing Awards for its Flixotide/Becotide asthma inhaler switch campaign. Communication by Design and Insight Consultants worked alongside GlaxoSmithKline on a task that was full of fish-hooks including legal action and challenges to the Advertising Standards Authority.
